Ymateb gan Gill bolter | Evidence from Gill bolter

What are your views on the general principles of the Bill and the need for legislation to deliver the Welsh Government’s stated policy objective (to make the Senedd a more effective legislature by ensuring it is broadly representative of the gender make-up of the population)?

Personally I feel the job should go to the person best suited to do the job wether it’s male or female…. Too much emphasis is being placed on getting women in just to get the right balance.

What are your views on the system of enforcement and potential sanctions for non-compliance proposed in the Bill?

Think running our country effectively should be more important than all this nonsense!!

Are there any potential barriers to the implementation of the Bill’s provisions? If so, what are they, and are they adequately taken into account in the Bill and the accompanying Explanatory Memorandum and Regulatory Impact Assessment?

Start looking at how the money in wales could be better spent improving the NHS, transportation infrastructure and important issues rather than all this political correctness rubbish!!

Are any unintended consequences likely to arise from the Bill?

Yes…. Just to keep the right balance some good  people may not get jobs…. And the money spent on all the time/paperwork etc for this is wasted.

What are your views on the Welsh Government’s assessment of the financial and other impacts of the Bill?

Think the Welsh government should stop wrecking wales by bringing in nonsensical bills and concentrate on trying to get our country back on track !! An NHS in crises, 20 mph, 182 days for holiday let’s to remain as business rates, cycle lanes wrecking transport links in Cardiff, opening up waterways next to empty shopping centres, dreadful train services and non existent bus depots… wales is being wrecked… stop messing around and start running the country properly.

What are your views on the balance between the information contained on the face of the Bill and what is left to subordinate legislation? Are the powers for Welsh Ministers to make subordinate legislation appropriate?

Do you have any views on matters relating to the legislative competence of the Senedd including compatibility with the European Convention on Human Rights?

Quite frankly I don’t believe the senedd should be there … it’s a whole level of governance which we don’t need and is a waste of money …. And I certainly don’t think it should gave 36 new members appointed … or the closed shop bd introduced.

Do you have any views on matters related to the quality of the legislation, or to the constitutional or other implications of the Bill?

See previous answer

Are there any other issues that you would like to raise about the Bill and the accompanying Explanatory Memorandum or any related matters?

Anything else?
